    Description

    Summary:

    The Clinical Informatics Systems Analyst II assists in the operation and administration of clinical information systems, collaborating with clinical and technical associates to enhance workflow methodology and tools. Responsibilities include application support for acute and non-acute care clinical applications, incident, change and problem management support following ITIL processes. This role requires detailed healthcare knowledge, system expertise, and the ability to work independently.

    • Collaborate with Clinical Informatics colleagues to drive strategic goals and vision for the department and CHRISTUSHealth
    • Work with colleagues to standardize best practice workflow processes and clinical content for efficiency and patient safety
    • Identify infrastructure issues affecting clinical applications in collaboration with technical colleagues
    • Develop, test, implement, support, and maintain clinical applications and business processes
    • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills with individuals and groups
    • Show understanding of clinical practice in relation to clinical information systems and end users
    • Report clinical information systems compliance issues and escalate concerns as needed
    • Provide ongoing end user support for clinical information systems
    • Communicate system changes, new functionality, and downtime procedures to clinical end users
    • Build relationships with ministry leadership and departments to ensure effective communication and support business requirements
    • Prioritize, coordinate, and implement updates and changes to clinical information systems
    • Deliver excellent customer service by being courteous, polite, and friendly
    • May work additional hours during critical problems
    • Perform analysis of workflows, data collection, and technical issues related to clinical information systems
    • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, escalating complex problems as needed
    • Proactively take on tasks, identify opportunities, and handle tough issues independently
    • Identify ways to enhance customer usability and experience through system updates
    • Maintain relationships with end user leadership, address conflicts, and provide clear status reports
    • Offer insights and recommendations on application/system analysis
    • Review and improve skills, habits, and work ethic regularly
    • Demonstrate technical proficiency in application design and configuration
    • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and requests independently
    • Set high-quality standards for work, provide feedback, and collaborate with team members
    • Conduct process and requirement analysis to deliver cross-team solutions

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of clinical/technical application experience strongly preferred
    • Knowledge of clinical information systems, clinical informatics, data management, and Microsoft Office
    • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
    • 3-5 years of clinical information systems experience preferred
    • Valid Driver's License
    • Epic certification/accreditation/self-proficiency preferred
