    job summary:
    A leading manufacturer of wave springs, retaining rings and constant section rings is looking to add a Senior Quality Engineer to their growing team. This is a direct hire opportunity located in Lake Zurich IL.

    As the Senior Quality Engineer you will play a pivotal role in ensuring adherence to quality standards and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the organization. You will be responsible for leading key projects aimed at enhancing quality processes, analyzing data to improve production efficiency, and collaborating with various departments to address quality issues promptly. Your expertise in statistical analysis, problem-solving, and effective communication will be essential in maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

    Qualifications

  • Understanding of ISO9001 and AS9100

  • Excellent root cause analysis skills

  • Six sigma green belt or higher

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering

    responsibilities:
  • Assist Quality Management with leading key continuous improvement quality type projects

  • Ability to apply statistical methods to collect data, analyze, interpret, and summarize the information in order to increase production efficiency

  • Works directly with external and internal customers to address and resolve questions, concerns, requirements, complaints, and rejects

  • Collaborates with multiple departments on quality issues, addresses them with urgency, and drives corrective actions to implementation and verification

  • Supports the inspection department, internal investigations and dispositioning of material

  • Conducts internal audits, customer audits, customer visits, and supplier audits as necessary
