Description
Dayton Children's Hospital, located in Dayton, Ohio, is recruiting for a half-time physician informaticist combined with a half-time general pediatrician or fellowship trained pediatric subspecialty physician.
Successful candidates must have Clinical Informatics Board eligibility/certification or preparatory experience for future Board eligibility.Also, board eligibility/certification in general pediatrics or a pediatric subspecialty is required as well as obtaining an unrestricted Ohio medical license.
Previous management/leadership experience is preferred. This is a full time, employed position offering a competitive salary and benefits package.
The Physician Informaticist works under the direction of the Chief Medical Informatics Officer to represent clinicians and other healthcare team members in relationship to health information technology.
They will serve in an operational role and will be responsible for supporting the development of health information systems that assist clinicians in the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality patient care consistent with the values, mission, and strategic plan of Dayton Children's Hospital.
The role of the other half-time position will be determined as the specialty requires.
Dayton metro is the 4th largest in Ohio and is noted for its association with aviation most notably due to the Wright brothers' invention of flight.
The city is home to the National Museum of the United States Air Force, some of the best private and public schools in the state, a vibrant arts and entertainment community and a beautiful system of parks, trails, and river corridors.
