- Utilize expertise in blueprint reading for various trades to prepare Take-off worksheets.
- Evaluate construction budgets, update specifications, and identify projected costs.
- Obtain competitive pricing from suppliers and negotiate prices with subcontractors.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and bids for management review.
- Efficiently handle equipment and supplies ordering process.
- Foster relationships with key vendors and service providers.
- Stay updated with industry knowledge through workshops and professional networks.
- Maintain effective communication and collaborative skills while working in a team environment.
- Participate in staff meetings and workshops to support project needs.
- Keep supervisors informed of project status and perform assigned duties.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management.
- Possess a valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience as a skilled estimator.
- Proficient knowledge of building codes and safety requirements.
- Basic computer and writing skills are essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Familiarity with OSHA guidelines and safe work practices.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and structural drawings.
- Understanding of construction contracting and HVAC theory.
- Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or in a team setting.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules and overtime when necessary.
- Ability to pass a background criminal check.
