Our organization is expanding and we are looking to hire an experienced Quality Engineer (8am-5pm, M-F) located in Gaffney, SC.     Summary:

    Interface with customer and supplier organizations to lead CMT in continuous improvement. Direct activities toward process and product enhancements that will ensure CMT provided products will meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations.

    Level of Education: 4 year Technical Degree or equivalent job experience.

    Other Requirements:

    Ability to apply principles of logic to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.

    Excellent written and verbal skills.

    Experienced in IATF16949 and quality tools such as Pareto charts, Control Plans, FMEAs, Check sheets

    Internal audit experience and/or training.

    Experience with performing quality inspections of in process product and finished product.

    Excellent skills dealing with people.

    Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel.

    Kaizen experience helpful.

    6 Sigma Green belt, black belt experience a plus.

    Job Related Work Experience: 3 - 5 years in compression molding, plastics and/or assembly environment

    JOB OBJECTIVES

    • Act as a customer/supplier liaison. In this role, relationship improvement and timely response to product issues is key.
    • Collaborate with cross functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
    • Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Ensure compliance with all IATF16949 related procedures.
    • Lead/facilitate continuous improvement activities related to customer products and processes.
    • Ensure maintenance and effective utilization of the Material Review Board process.
    • Monitor and audit manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with internal quality standards and/or customer satisfaction.
    • Develop and ensure effective implementation of a reporting system to create organizational feedback regarding customer satisfaction.
    • Facilitate activities toward assigned strategic business plan objectives.
    • Assist Quality Manager in maintaining documentation and records related to quality assurance activities, including inspection reports, calibration activities, and test results.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
    • Continuously learn and adapt to evolving quality practices and methodologies.
