SHEET METAL Foreman Job description

Plans, lays out, fabricates, assembles, installs, and repairs sheet metal duct systems, equipment, and products by performing the following duties.

Typical Duties and Requirements

• Will be required to help promote a safe working environment every day.
• Will be required to work independently and be able to keep assigned crew productive.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal duct systems.
• Lay out and install duct systems from coordination drawings and contract drawings.
• Lay's out and marks dimensions and reference lines.
• Installs assemblies in supportive framework according to blueprints.
• Inspects assemblies and installation for conformance to specifications.
• Repairs and maintains sheet metal products.
• Will be required to have skills in duct design, ability to read ductulator to help in calculation proper CFM requirements.
