    Responsibilities

    Arcfield is looking for a Technical Lead SME who:

    • Manages experienced professionals who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments.
    • Often heads one or more sections or a small department.
    • Plans, conducts and supervises assignments, generally involving larger and more important projects or multiple projects.
    • Evaluates and determines changes in methods or procedures in assigned area of responsibility.
    • Functions as a technical expert who provides management, leadership in the design, development and delivery of technology-enabled applications, products and services within a technical environment.
    • Responsible for the technical integrity of projects while providing technical guidance to clients and department staff at the brand, program, and project levels.
    • Functions as day-to-day lead on assigned projects and works with technical leadership to perform evaluations and feasibility reviews of creative concepts and technology solutions.
    • Act as a point of technical escalation and resolution during the project lifecycle as it relates to technical decisions
    • Determine and provide a necessary level of technical documentation during requirements gathering, based on technical services group standards and procedures and discussions with project staff, industry experience, and technical vendors.
    • Provide technical consultancy to department staff and participate in business development efforts

    Qualifications

    Required Skills:

    • Will have a minimum of 20 years of Research and Development (R&D) experience in the areas of computer engineering, and systems and network design.
    • Will be expected to participate in the development of a new capability, to include hands-on development for the Naval Research Laboratory.
    • Will have experience in the following: C++, Python, JAVA, VRML, and Javascript.
    • Possses and maintain a TS clearance
    • Must have at least a Bachelor's Degree with 10-12 years of experiecne or MS 8-10, PhD 5-7

    Desired Skills:

    • Have Principal Investigator experience with CDS (cross domain solution)
    • SW experience to include: Openscene Graph, Open GL, Linux
    • Working knowledge of: NRL PUMP III
