- Provide skill-based interventions for individuals focused on reducing behavioral health challenges by teaching skills such as conflict resolution, problem solving, coping, impulse control, and relationship building.
- Teach skills in an individual, family and/or group setting.
- Work with the clients from a wide range of cultural, racial, and ethnic groups.
- Collaborate with assessing clinician regarding individual needs, strengths, and family functioning.
- Monitor potential child and family risk factors to assure family's service needs are met.
- Respond to crisis as needed.
- Connect families to community resources and services to reduce recurring child abuse and neglect.
- Use evidenced based practices to work with families.
- Schedule continued service reviews or annual assessments with assessing clinician.
- complete required documentation, progress reports and discharge summaries within the allotted time frames.
- Adhere to mandatory reporter, confidentiality, and social work ethics.
- Yearly mandated training.
- Set-up and maintain files on computer systems to ensure case documentations.
- Collaborate with other professionals by attend staff meetings and individual supervision meetings or other assigned duties as requested.
- Applicant must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Time management skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of community resources and service providers in the service area.
- Flexibility and willingness to work days/evenings/weekends and be available for crisis intervention.
