- Perform structural computations in the design and analysis of concrete, steel, prestressed concrete and timber bridges, retaining walls or other miscellaneous structures
- Utilize engineering and detailing techniques in the development of structural designs
- Assist with design drawings, specifications, quantities, cost estimates, reports and other project deliverables while working with the structural engineering team and/or other company disciplines
- Review and markup design plans
- Review shop drawings
- Participate as a team member, contributing ideas and possible solutions
- Coordinate with other disciplines of the company
- Develop structural details using specialized software
- Bachelor of Science Degree, Civil Engineering
- EIT or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Master's degree in Structural Engineering
- Knowledge of Microstation and structural analysis software
- Knowledge of Excel and Excel VBA programming
- 0-3 years experience. Internship experience related to structural design is preferred Candidate must be proactive, have strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Effective interpersonal skills with coworkers and public agency officials
- Must be flexible to changes in work assignments on short notice and/or on a daily basis as changes occur in project needs
