    Summary : Graduate Engineer responsible for structural design of bridges, retaining walls, and other miscellaneous structures.

    General Responsibilities:

  • Perform structural computations in the design and analysis of concrete, steel, prestressed concrete and timber bridges, retaining walls or other miscellaneous structures
  • Utilize engineering and detailing techniques in the development of structural designs
  • Assist with design drawings, specifications, quantities, cost estimates, reports and other project deliverables while working with the structural engineering team and/or other company disciplines
  • Review and markup design plans
  • Review shop drawings
  • Participate as a team member, contributing ideas and possible solutions
  • Coordinate with other disciplines of the company
  • Develop structural details using specialized software
  • Required Education/Licenses:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree, Civil Engineering
  • EIT or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering
  • Knowledge of Microstation and structural analysis software
  • Knowledge of Excel and Excel VBA programming
  • Required Experience:

  • 0-3 years experience. Internship experience related to structural design is preferred Candidate must be proactive, have strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills with coworkers and public agency officials
  • Must be flexible to changes in work assignments on short notice and/or on a daily basis as changes occur in project needs
