    About This Role

    The Manager of Business Development Finance will report to the Director of Business Development Finance and serve as a key support role in the economic and structural assessments of in-licensing, collaboration, and M&A opportunities.

    Candidates must have a proven background of analytical excellence, a strong work ethic, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment and within a cross-functional team.

    What You'll Do

    • Develop comprehensive financial models and analyses to evaluate business opportunities, which will include building new models from scratch
    • Collect and analyze inputs from Corporate Strategy, R&D, PO&T (Manufacturing), Accounting and other functions
    • Foster an environment of high collaboration with business constituents
    • Assist with due diligence activities in support of various business development initiatives
    • Identify and analyze risk and opportunity considerations and potential impact on valuation and returns
    • Perform frequent and complex ad hoc analytical assignments
    • Assist in the preparation of memos and presentations for senior leadership review

    Required Skills

    • 5+ years of experience, ideally in investment banking, management consulting, or another Pharm/Biotech company
    • Distinctive quantitative and modeling skills
    • Practical knowledge of financial theory and valuation methodologies
    • Ability to navigate and influence in a matrixed organizational structure
    • Attention to detail, yet ability to maintain an "80/20" mindset
    • Excellent learning agility
    • Comfort with ambiguity
    • Ability to work under pressure and within short time constraints
    • High sense of urgency with ability to meet tight deadlines and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities

    Preferred Skills

    • MBA strongly preferred
    • Knowledge of drug development and life sciences is preferred
    • Experience with Hyperion
