- and negotiate technology contracts
- and negotiate inbound vendor contracts
- and negotiate NDAs
- contract database and legal records
- with Sales and Finance to finalize agreements, construct complex rate plans, and address ad hoc legal questions
- approvals and collaborate with our paralegal to coordinate contract execution
- a deep understanding of new and existing SaaS products
- and update legal documents for the sale and delivery of SaaS products
- closely with the Product team
- and track paperwork for new stock option grants, option exercises, and send out year-end tax notices
- complex capitalization structure and respond to management and stockholder requests for information
- global legal entity maintenance with the support of our paralegal
- Have a J.D. from an accredited law school and are a member of the Illinois Bar
- Have 5-8 years of experience as a practicing attorney, preferably with 1-3 years of in-house experience at a technology company
- Are passionate about the IoT industry and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Are comfortable working globally, across cultures and time zones
- Are a self-starter, well-organized and eager to master technology tools, including a contract lifecycle management system
- Can communicate your opinions with confidence to stakeholders across the organization, yet know your limits and when to ask for help
- Are committed to working in our downtown Chicago office 5 days/week
- Should be able to do some domestic and international travel for the company (1-3 times per year)

We are looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented attorney to assume primary ownership of mission-critical functions in sales and a variety of legal areas, focusing on technology contracting. A successful applicant will be able to interface with customers and stakeholders across the organization, proactively address the needs of the business, and report to and consult with managers on a timely basis. We are breaking new ground in many ways and look for a "can do" attitude that will drive to identification and resolution of problems. Passively waiting to be told what to do or be given a solution won't work.
