    Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description at Franciscan Ministries

    As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to our residents. Your expertise and compassion will play a vital role in promoting their overall well-being and quality of life.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Direct the daily activities of certified nursing assistants and resident care associates, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
    • Follow our nursing model to promote holistic care, addressing the physical, emotional, and social needs of our residents.
    • Participate in admission, discharge, and transfer processes, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless transitions.
    • Assess resident changes in status, notify physicians and family members, and document accordingly.
    • Transcribe physician orders, administer medications, and perform wound treatments as required.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
    • Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the practicing state.
    • At least one year of clinical nursing experience, preferably in geriatrics.

    Nursing Leadership Skills:

    • Patient assessment and care planning.
    • Medication administration and management.
    • Infection control and prevention.
