- Supervises all custodial security staff at a juvenile detention facility.
- Coordinates staff schedules, monitors performance, and ensures policies are followed.
- Monitors juveniles' behavior, prepares incident reports, and attends meetings/training sessions.
- Exerts physical effort in restraining residents and assists with recreational/work projects.
- Completes required training at the Department of Juvenile Justice Training Academy.
- EDUCATION: High school graduate.
- EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Three years of relevant experience, including one year in a supervisory role in a custodial security setting.
- Special Requirements: Must be twenty-one years old and hold a valid driver's license.
- Working Conditions: Hazardous environment due to working with convicted felons or in a juvenile detention facility.
- Probationary Period: 6 months.
