Job summary
This role is responsible for preparing and reconciling monthly and quarterly financial statement schedules for the organization.Drafting and posting journal entries reviewing and reconciling general ledger accounts analyzing intercompany activity and billing completing regular account reconciliations supporting various financial accounting functions this position reports directly to the controller daily responsibilities work closely with the investment operations team to draft journal entries maintain accurate records of financial transactions maintain review reconcile general ledger accounts prepare generate management reporting from the general ledger system review bank reconciliations for accuracy completeness assist with quarterly accruals support preparation of financial information used in annual GAAP consolidated financial statements prepare submit wire transfers through external banking portals perform additional duties ad hoc tasks as needed qualifications bachelor degree in accounting finance required three five years experience in financial accounting reporting advanced computer proficiency strong knowledge MS Office strong Excel capabilities required solid technical understanding of financial accounting principles experience in services insurance plus strong analytical skills exceptional attention detail ability handle confidential information discretion capability work independently manage assigned tasks critical thinker strong problem solving abilities
