- Set up the Ingredient Prep. and Batching areas and assemble equipment
- Coordinate with warehouse operations to ensure timely and accurate delivery of raw materials to the production floor
- Prepare raw materials for processing, including de-casing, inspecting, washing, size reducing and portioning
- Prepare, properly label, and stage raw materials for downstream processes.
- Safely operate basic process equipment including wash tanks, product conveyors, drum/tote unloaders, scale and buggy dumpers
- Assist with general sanitation activities, including breakdown of various equipment following product changeovers and at the end of the production shift.
- Work as part of a team to ensure timely and efficient production. Embrace collective ambition
- Prepare and review documentation (written or digital) as required for food safety, quality, and production tracking activities
- Adhere to and demonstrate to team members all safety guidelines (both personnel and food safety-related) and Good Manufacturing Practices

- Manage timeline expectations within and across teams, deliver on our responsibilities accordingly

- 1-2 years food handling and/or food processing experience.
- Experience operating food processing equipment preferred.
- You must be able to begin work between 5am and 6am Monday Through Thursday and you must be able to work up to 11 hours per day.
- We target 4 days and 40 hours.
- You must demonstrate proper clock management and maintain a strong attendance.
- You must be able to read and follow recipes and procedures (in English or Spanish) to ensure the batches are made correctly.
- You must maintain close concentration and visual attention to assigned tasks.
- You must be willing and able to follow instructions.
- You must have good verbal communication skills.
- You must be willing and able to work efficiently and with alacrity.
- You must have some familiarity with computer tablets
- Physical dexterity, ability to lift to 45 lbs. and push/pull rolling carts and containers.
- The ability to work in varied environmental conditions (dry, cold)
- The ability to stand for 8 hours a day.
- Must be able to identify, assess and observe detail.
- Ability to communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively.
- Ability to squat, kneel, bend and twist.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

The Title:
Batching Team Member, Level II
The Role:
Batching team members are responsible for effectively working with their team to follow daily work instructions. The Batching Department blends prepared and purchased raw materials and delivers bulk products to the Packaging Department. Team members handle food ingredients, follow recipes, document traceability, operate washing, chopping, pumping, and mixing equipment, whilst following food quality and safety standards to ensure the safe and timely production of healthy food.
