    Waltonen Engineering is actively seeking a Software Engineer to join our team

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for configuring VxWorks, Linux or other embedded operating systems
    • Perform Linux programming
      Develop software documentation
    • Design and test software
    • Debug software system
    • Enable embedded system security
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, or electrical engineering (or relevant degree)
    • Previous experience in board support packages or system/kernel programming in a Linux environment
    • Experience with vehicle software
    • Experience troubleshooting software issues
    • Experience in developing C and C++ code
    • Experience with designing system software for PPC, Arm, RISC-V or other Intel based platforms
    • Experience with build environments like Buildroot or OpenEmbedded
    • Only United States Citizens can be considered
    • Must possess or be able to obtain security clearance
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Previous experience with military vehicle software
    • Knowledge of military standards
    • Experience with Ethernet or CAN data bus
    • DOORS experience
    • GIT, Bitbucket and/or Confluence experience
