- Developand manage a center funded research program aimed at developing newanimal models of human diseases and refining existing models.
- Developa highly skilled veterinary surgery team to facilitate minimallyinvasive sample collections and data acquisition from nonhuman primates.
- Managesurgical research support technical staff and support ongoing researchclients and collaborations, and help develop new ones.
- Overseetraining and education of the surgical veterinary team to ensure staffare well trained and knowledgeable about the center's mission.
- Leverageunique technologies to build an externally funded and collaborativegrant and research portfolio using nonhuman primates and other models.
- Facilitate development and implementation of automation software applications to improve data management efficiency and quality.
- Represent NIRC at national and international conferences to increase recognition of the center's capabilities and importance.
- Obtain a faculty appointment in an appropriate department with appropriate resources to facilitate research objectives.
- DVM, MD and/or PhD with advanced surgery expertise.
