    As an Accessory Technician at Duncan Aviation, you will test, adjust, troubleshoot, repair and/or overhaul core aircraft accessory components to manufacturer specifications, customer expectations, and company-approved procedures in a clean and safe work environment, with assistance as needed.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Troubleshoots, repairs, overhauls, and tests core accessory components using hand tools, power tools, ground support equipment, test equipment, and technical documents.
    • Researches, prepares, and signs off various documents, including updating work order status, for record keeping purposes as required by company-approved procedures, manufacturers' maintenance manuals, and FAA regulations.
    • Provides accurate repair and overhaul information for creating estimates.
    • Maintains and cleans test equipment and work area as required.
    • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

    Requirements:

    • Licenses/Certificates: Respirator fit eligible
    • Attendance: Regularly scheduled attendance required
    • Physical: Routinely lifts 50 lbs., occasionally lifts 100 lbs.; reads small print; hearing sounds associated with mechanical deficiencies; repetitive motion; works with moving parts and vibration; tolerates products and materials associated with component maintenance; tolerates standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and sitting
    • Environmental: Tolerates working in noisy environments

    Education and Experience:

    Accessory Technicians at Duncan Aviation require varying levels of experience and education, depending on the position.

    • Accessory Technician I: Associates Degree in related field or equivalent preferred; Previous mechanical experience required
    • Accessory Technician II: Associates Degree in related field or equivalent preferred; Minimum one year aviation component maintenance or related experience required
    • Accessory Technician III: Associates Degree in related field preferred; Minimum three years aviation component maintenance or related experience required
