    Job DescriptionPrimary Function:
    Intuitive designs and manufactures highly complex mechanical systems for use in surgery. The Machine Shop is responsible for providing support to development, engineering and manufacturing. This support includes both internal fabrication and modification of mechanical components.
    We are a small team seeking a skilled machinist who has good communication and organizational skills.

    The successful candidate should be capable of high quality work on a variety of machine shop equipment and must be a team player with a "can do" attitude.


    Roles and Responsibilities:


    Making high precison parts and working closely with other team members in a fast paced environmentProgram setup/operate Prototrak Mill, Prototrak Lathe and HardingePrecision measuring and inspectionMaintaining organized and clean work areasInterpret and understand technical drawings and CAD filesOperate band saws and other shop equipmentAssist in fabricating prototype components and assemblies in support of product development with other team membersModify production materials as required per rework instructionsMachining small and intricate parts from various metals and plasticsQualificationsRequired Education and TrainingMinimum 7 to 10 years of experience in an engineering development environment as a machinistMinimum High school diploma from a vocational technical high school, completion of an apprenticeship program or community college / technical school training programRequired Skills and ExperienceAbility to work with all general shop equipment including: grinders, saws, drills, etc.

    Mastercam experience is preferredAbility to multitask and stay on task through completionAbility to complete tasks with minimal supervisionCapable of planning jobs and set-ups to a high degree of accuracyAbility to perform accurate inspections and verification Experience interpreting drawings, charts, sketches and specifications for parts to be machinedKnowledge of the machining properties of various materialsAdditional InformationDue to the nature of our business and the role, please note that Intuitive and/or your customer(s) may require that you show current proof of vaccination against certain diseases including COVID-19.
