under the supervision of the Specialty Group
Reinsurance Accounting Manager. Learn to facilitate and report reinsurance settlements for both premiums and claims.
Respond to inquiries from reinsurers/brokers concerning settlements,

laims, and

ollections and coordinate responses from the various departments

Understand how to review balance sheet accounts in preparation
for
month-end close.
Within the first 90 days

assist in the
general ledger
month-end clos

of business in the
reinsurance system

Set up reinsurance contracts in the reinsurance system.
Analyze accounting information to prepare and post entries to general ledger accounts and to document business transactions as it relates to reinsurance activities.

nteract with internal and external auditors, as necessary for
all
matters. Proactively detect, research, and resolve
balance sheet
reconciliation items. Prepare various ad hoc reports using advanced Excel skills.
Your
Skills and Experience
:
Bachelor's degree in accounting
, Finance, a related field, or the equivalent education and/or experience
Work in an office environment is required
Experience in an accounting or finance internship, preferred
PeopleSoft and RSC experience
a plus
Excellent written and verbal communications skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy
Exceptional organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft
365

Word, Power
