    Description

    Azure SQL DBA

    6+ month contract

    McKinney, TX (Hybrid)

    Responsibilities -

    Use Azure Data Factory to build pipelines between multiple different data source types, including but not limited to: On-Prem SQL, Azure SQL, APIs, File Shares.

    Ensure data integrity throughout the reporting process and receive stamp of approval from end users and SMEs of the projects.

    Build partnership with critical stakeholders to be the liaison for the IT team.

    Establish development data management best practices, processes, and standards.

    Responsibilities -

    3 + years recent experience in Databasing and Data Modeling.

    Advanced knowledge in T-SQL. Must know how to write Procedures, Views, and Functions.

    Monitoring and managing performance of SQL databases.

    Maintaining SQL server security.

    Managing SQL server availability and recoverability using tools like replication, SQL always on, backups etc.

    Excellent understanding of Big Data Analytics platforms and ETL in the context of Big Data.

    Proficient with SQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics and Power BI.

    Have extensive experience with data implementations, data storage and distribution.

    Solid experience in Azure Cloud Services.

    Knowledge in Data Models. Full understanding data relationships.

    Knowledge in secure data tunnels building between businesses.

    Experience in Tabular Editor and Semantic Models.

    Strong communication skills. Will need to meet via Teams with business partners all over the world. Will need to be flexible in accommodating to their needs.

    Solid scoping and project management skills to deliver timely results.

    Fundamental business understanding. Needs to be able to interpret business needs and provide accurate answers.
