Job summary
The American Alpine Club has one opening for the Campground Assistant position at the Sam Pryor Shawangunk Gateway Campground for the 2026 season. This position is part-time, seasonal, from Mid-April through Mid-November of each year. The Campground Assistant is expected to function in support of the team and at the direction of the Community & Guest Services Manager.Responsibilities include guest services and public relations such as checking-in guests and collecting fees providing campground information promoting and selling merchandise monitoring campground email daily assisting in execution of educational events maintaining positive working relationship with all Mohonk Preserve staff
Maintenance and housekeeping responsibilities include monitoring plumbing systems electrical systems cleaning shower-house pavilion regularly assisting in maintenance grounds general landscaping keeping campground free trash debris executing minor repairs using simple power tools
