- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Two (2) years of secretarial or administrative experience.

- Manages records for Educational Benefits, Direct Certification (DCRT), verification reports, meal counting and claiming, and vendor purchases for Federal nutrition program assistance
- Educates families on benefits available for free and reduced lunch; updates forms to ensure compliance.
- Performs clerical duties such as typing correspondence, answering phones and questions, distributing messages, directing calls and visitors to appropriate parties, responding to telephone, voice mail and e-mail communication as needed, documenting, filing, copying, processing mail, scheduling appointments, and organizing department information.
- Performs assigned tasks related to the computerized school nutrition program and systems.
- Maintain account codes, data entry for financial reports, process accounts payable and receivable invoices.
- Manages central office point of sale system software and provides technical support of computers and software for customers and staff.
- Write, edit, and distribute content, including publication, website content, and other marketing material that communicates the school nutrition program.
- Exercises initiative in performing technical assignments and resolving problems; applies judgment and knowledge of the operations of the work group to resolve problems and make work process decisions; refers matters requiring policy interpretation to supervisor for resolution.

Position Overview:
Performs experienced office support and technical specialist functions for the Food Service Department; maintains and researches computer databases, files and records; provides information and assistance to staff and families.
