How you'll contribute to our mission

Our Line Cooks play a vital role in our endeavor to promote healthier and better lives through top-quality food. In this position, you will hone your culinary expertise in our Wegmans kitchens, preparing a variety of menu items including prepackaged meals and fresh, hot dishes. Each day presents new challenges in our dynamic kitchen environment, offering you the chance to brighten our customers' day by facilitating their meal preparation. Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service by efficiently managing tasks such as ingredient preparation and cooking high-quality meals
• Follow recipes, practice knife skills, and employ cooking techniques to ensure consistent and excellent meal outcomes
• Efficiently multitask to balance preparation work while maintaining high standards of meal quality and timeliness
• Recognize the optimal appearance and taste of products, adhere to core recipes, and techniques for consistent quality
• Assist in inventory management and ordering processes to maintain control over inventory and waste

Required Qualifications

• 1+ years' experience in a production kitchen
• Experience with food preparation

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts
• Experience as a Prep Cook, Pantry, or Apprentice
• Previous Line Cook experience
