    Description

    Clinical Research Nurse Assistant Director

    The Department of Surgery, Pediatric Surgery Division is seeking a Clinical Research Nurse Assistant Director to oversee the division's clinical trials, associated with the University of Pittsburgh and UPMC.

    Job Summary

    Manages the clinical operations of a research program and oversees clinical research policies in human trials. Oversees the development and implementation of standard operating procedure (SOP) manuals in clinical research; ensures the program meets all quality assurance activities. Oversees development of standards, internal and external site visits and audits, research protocol budgets, subject enrollment, protocol implementation.

    Essential Functions

    Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English - in writing and speech and understanding of medical terminology is essential. Must possess good computer skills, critical thinking skills, and be able to work independently.

    Physical Effort

    This position is sedentary; however, the incumbent must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
