    This position is responsible for the administration of all health and safety policies and procedures as well as ensuring safe working practices are being followed by all employees. This position will also include but not limited to the following.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement comprehensive environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
    • Conduct risk assessments, identify hazards, and implement corrective measures to ensure a safe working environment for employees.
    • Coordinate and conduct regular safety training programs for all employees, including topics such as hazardous material handling, emergency response procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.
    • Lead accident investigation processes, analyze data, and develop strategies to prevent future incidents.
    • Collaborate with regulatory agencies and maintain compliance with all relevant EHS regulations, permits, and reporting requirements.
    • Manage the site's EHS budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost-effective solutions.
    • Implement and oversee environmental programs to minimize the plant's impact on the environment, including waste management, pollution prevention, and sustainability initiatives.
    • Develop and maintain effective communication channels regarding EHS matters, including safety meetings, newsletters, and incident reporting systems.
    • Serve as the primary contact for EHS-related inquiries, audits, and inspections, coordinating responses and corrective actions as needed.
    • Foster a culture of safety and environmental stewardship among employees through engagement, recognition programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Monitor and evaluate EHS performance metrics, providing regular reports and recommendations to senior management.
    • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in EHS management, incorporating relevant advancements into plant operations.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field. Advanced degree or certification (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) is a plus.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in EHS management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
    • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and DOT requirements.
    • Experience leading EHS programs, conducting risk assessments, and implementing safety training initiatives.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
    • Proficiency in EHS software systems and data analysis tools.
    • Demonstrated commitment to promoting a culture of safety, environmental sustainability, and continuous improvement.
