Job DescriptionComeaux Furniture and Appliance, is a well-established mid-size company located in the Greater New Orleans area. A family-owned successful furniture and appliance company seeking an experienced full-time Delivery Driver. We have over a
70-year history of progressive growth as a result of our excellent customer service while providing well-known brand-named products offered with competitive pricing. Opportunity for long term employment, in a relaxed environment. Hourly salary will be $20.00 per hour. Benefits package includes health insurance, dental, vision, vacation, and PTO accruals.

SUMMARY
The Delivery Driver is primarily responsible making customer deliveries
This involves the moving and pulling of merchandise. Inspection of merchandise.
and processing of delivery tickets. This is a fulltime position.
The work week is Tuesday - Saturday from 7:00am until job is completed. with 30 minutes
for lunch.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include but are not limited to the
following. Other duties may be assigned.
Loading and unloading trucks.
Inspect goods to be delivered and or picked-up.
Set up and assembly of merchandise in customer's home.
Process delivery tickets.

QUALIFICATIONS
The Delivery Driver should possess communication skills, and work well with others.

Must maintain 100% compliance with Federal and State DOT regulations, operate a 26' straight truck, load, unload and assemble furniture during deliveries.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS
Class D or above Driver's License minimum 2 year driving experience and a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Very heavy duty. Must be able to lift 125 lbs. without assistance. Must be able to walk up and down
stairs without impediment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work conditions encountered in this position require working in a warehouse
environment.
