    Job Summary

    This Certified Surgical Tech role involves assisting with the provision of safe and effective nursing care in the operating room. You will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse and be responsible for tasks such as direct patient care, observation, scrubbing, and assisting the surgeon at the operative field.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare procedure rooms for use by bringing in equipment, setting up, and reporting any items that are needed but not available.
    • Ensure that surgical asepsis is maintained in the handling of instruments, sponges, sutures, drains, needles, and dressings.

    Qualifications:

    • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent experience.
    • Surgical Tech Certification is required.
    • One year of experience in an operating room setting, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
    • Valid BCLS Certification upon employment.
