    Our client, a Fortune 10 Health Insurance company, is currently looking to identify a Kafka Administrator to join one of their Platform Engineering teams. This team assists internal teams who utilize the Kafka platform for various research & data analysis. In this role you will be helping maintain, support, and enhance the platform as they migrate to AWS and make continued enhancements to better serve their internal teams. It also serves as a launching point for the rest of your career, the manager already has a growth track outlined for someone eager to move up in the organization.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 1+ years of hands-on experience working in a Linux environment.
    • Hands on experience writing Shell Scripting
    • Kafka and/or AWS Experience
    • Have a degree within the Information Technology space.
    • Problem Solver/ Self-Starter.
    • Desire to see the bigger picture, making contributions behind the scenes that ensure success of the larger platform team

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Perform high-level day to day operational maintenance, support and upgrades to the Kafka cluster.
    • Close collaboration with senior engineers and other experts within the Information Technology field.
    • Assist in reading and writing in the Kafka platform.
    • Working on additional Kafka, AWS, or Linux training, through a plethora of courses.
    • Working with one of the leading Kafka vendors, evaluating their new features.
