Job summary

This is a job as an ophthalmic assistant certified to assist medical providers in the examination and treatment of eye disorders. The job includes various duties such as preparing examination and treatment rooms, interviewing patients, performing vision screening examinations and other technical skills.

Responsibilities
  • Makes members/patients and their needs a primary focus of ones actions; develops and sustains productive member/patient relationships.
  • Ensures patient safety in the preparation and provisioning of care related to but not limited to medications, procedures, infection prevention, fall prevention.
  • Cleans, packages and sterilizes reusable supplies and instruments as needed.
