    The Client is located in Middlesex County, Massachusetts and is rapidly growing company that focuses on advanced additive manufacturing technology that represents the future.

    They do 3D printing & manufacturing for a number of sectors - everything from medical devices to luxury fashion.
    Job Description

    Key Responsibilities of the

    Principal Engineer Include:
    Lead the organization in deploying a Quality Management System that complies with ISO 9001. Support documentation and compliance cross functionally.


    Work directly with customers and the Client's R&D department to develop new product specifications with supporting test methods to evaluate design performance.

    This includes the creation and ongoing review of Risk Management documentation such as Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA).


    Provide technical quality leadership to project teams for project decisions and deliverables (Design Change Analysis, Design Inputs, Design Outputs, Test Methods, Design Reviews, Design V&V, Usability Testing, Process Validation).


    Write and execute validations to determine the capability of new products and manufacturing processes as they are transferred from R&D into an industrial scaled manufacturing environment.


    Support the Client's R&D team by developing test methods, evaluation standards, and process measurement tools to analyze and improve new materials and manufacturing processes.


    Work directly with the manufacturing and engineering team to investigate and correct manufacturing errors, as well as continuously reduce sources of manufacturing variability both in manufacturing processes and product outputs.

    The Successful Applicant

    Required Education and Experience Includes:
    5+ years of engineering experience supporting technical product/process development andindustrialization, including:

    Leading new product and/or material test method development
    Full scale validation of test methods and manufacturing processes

    Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering)
    Experience as a major contributor to large scale multi-departmental product development projects, with the ability to lead through influence and resolve quality-related issues
    Experience leading process improvement projects using Six Sigma or Lean methodologies
    5+ years of experience in the chemical, electronics, aerospace, or automotive industry
