Marcon Engineering, INC. a seasoned, General Contracting company is in search of a hardworking, competent, skilled multifaceted tradesman, to work with our great team. We do Public Works in Southern California.

Must be able to be a good communicator, have a good attitude, positive, coachable, trustworthy to work alone with the qualities of integrity, honesty and good character to be part of our team. This is a working carpenter foreman position.

Must have a valid California driver's license.

Experienced in, Drywall, electrical, plumbing, Door & Window installation- prehung and mortise to existing drywall, finish carpentry, Cabinets, Case and base, specifically Door and Clad window installation.

If you have experience on Heavy equipment a bonus, Dirt work, Demo's, excavation, underground, etc. Must be able to drive a 20' trailer towing machines.

COMPENSATION: $ $ 74.67 Per hour

What You'll Bring:
Qualifications:

5– 10 years' experience in underground construction
Ability to read maps, plans, and blueprints and convey this information to others
Experience operating heavy equipment
Knowledge of proper operation and safety standards of heavy equipment
1-3 years' experience operating heavy machinery, including loaders, dozers, backhoes, and excavators
Traffic Control Maintainer certificate
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Possess a valid driver's license or be eligible and willing to obtain the required license for the position.
A good driving record is required.
Basic knowledge of and ability to operate various types of utility trucks and equipment in a safe manner.
Basic knowledge of and ability to hand tools and equipment in a safe manner.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, etc.
Willing and able to work in all weather conditions.
Able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs as needed with or without assistance
Class A Commercial Driver's License is a plus (Higher wage scales apply to CDL holders).
OSHA 10 certificate

Working Conditions:
This is a full-time hourly position, expected to work at least 40 hours per week. This position operates in an outdoor environment and is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions including; extreme cold, rain, sleet, snow, humidity, high temperatures, and high wind. The outside work environment will vary throughout the day including changes in terrain, traffic, urban settings, and/or rural settings. This position may occasionally be exposed to natural gas and to the risk of electrical shock. Exposure to moderate to loud noise levels.

Required Skills:

Clean Background Check
Current Driver's License with clean driving record
Must speak and understand English
Experience leading and working with a construction crew
Experience working with pipe fittings
Must be responsible and punctual

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous construction experience, preferably in the underground industry.
Ability to follow directions and take initiative when needed
Develop an understanding of daily maintenance for underground equipment
Ability to perform all underground procedures and duties.
Ability to travel.

Compensation Range: The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $41.00/Hr. - USD $60.00/Hr. depending on experience and qualifications.
