    About the Role:
    We have an exciting opportunity to support our

    PR & Communications

    team as a Director, Meetings & Eventsbased in

    Miami, FL.


    The Director, Meetings & Events role requires a combination of strategic vision, strong organizational skills, leadership, creativity, attention to detail, and communication skills.

    They collaborate across the organization to deliver best-in-class Subway events for our franchisees and other key stakeholders, including a bi-annual global convention with about 4,000 attendees and annual conferences with about 500 attendees.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    Directs and leads the overall planning and strategy for meetings and events, including bi-annual convention, conferences and business meetings.

    Manages pre, on-site and post event logistics and vendors, includes site selection, lodging, catering, audio visual, hospitality events, trade show and more.

    Oversees budget and expense reconciliation, ensuring meetings and events are executed appropriately.
    Work with vendors to deliver exceptional event food and beverage, décor and entertainment.
    Manage and mentor team members to learn, grow and contribute to a high-performing team.
    Qualifications

    (some examples listed below):

    CMP, CMM, CEM, or other Meeting Industry certifications preferred.
    College degree or equivalent experience.
    10+ years of demonstrated experience meeting planning.
    3+ years of people management experience.
    Demonstrated project management.
    Strong writing and verbal communications for interacting with stakeholders and executives.
    Strategic and creative thinker.
    Exceptional attention to detail, multi-tasking and time management.
    Budget management.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Smartsheet and other relevant business software.
    Strong curiosity about the business and industry.
    Organized, problem-solver.
    Outstanding interpersonal and consensus-building skills.
    Collaborative, team player who builds productive and efficient working relationships.
    At events, ability to work nights and weekends for successful execution.
    Travel up to 30% of the time.
