    Job Description


    American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care (IMC) position requiring telemetry and EKG rhythm interpretation skills.

    Responsibilities

    • Work in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) of a hospital
    • Care for intermediate acuity patients requiring telemetry monitoring
    • Uses EKG and telemetry equipment
    • Day shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
    • Every third weekend required
    • Duties include monitoring cardiac rhythms, managing acute and chronic conditions, and responding to changes in patient status
    • Must be competent in telemetry interpretation and care coordination
    • Candidates living within 60 miles are considered local and may receive a different pay rate

    Requirements

    • Active MD or compact RN license
    • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
    • Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with at least 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms
    • Minimum of 2 years of IMC nursing experience required
    • Previous travel nursing experience required
    • CPI certification preferred
