We are seeking an experienced Critical Care (ICU/PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on the Night ShiftThe Critical Care floor is a 21 bed combined Intensive Care and Progressive Care unit focused on providing a high level of direct and individualized care to treat critically ill patients with a variety of life-threatening medical, cardiovascular, neurological, and surgical needs.
Our highly skilled team of healthcare professionals is dedicated to keeping our patients and their families healthy.Job Duties:
Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care
Assists physicians during examinations and procedures
Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse
Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills
Relies on experience and judgment to perform a variety of tasks and accomplish goals
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited RN program. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas, or license with a compact state required upon hire
American Heart Association (AHA) approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Life Support (PALS) certifications required within 90 days of hire
Minimum two (2) years of recent ICU/Critical Care experience in an acute care hospital setting required
