    Ultrasound Technologist – Laconia, NH

    Contract Duration: 13 Weeks 

    Shift: 12-Hour Days | Fri, Sat, Sun (09:00 – 21:00)

    Weekly Hours: 36 Hours Guaranteed

    Job Summary

    Seeking a versatile Ultrasound Technologist for a high-volume weekend day shift. This facility serves the Lakes Region of New Hampshire, providing diagnostic imaging for a diverse patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics. The role requires a sonographer who is comfortable working weekends and can handle a heavy volume of vascular studies alongside general imaging.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Diagnostic Imaging: Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, OB/GYN, and small parts.
    • Vascular Focus: Conduct a heavy volume of vascular studies (Carotids, Venous Dopplers, Arterial studies). While an RVT credential is not mandatory, proficiency in vascular imaging is highly preferred.
    • Equipment Operation: Utilize Samsung Ultrasound Machines to capture and optimize images for radiologist interpretation.
    • Patient Care: Provide care for all age groups, ensuring patient safety and comfort during procedures.
    • Documentation: Manage images and patient data within the Cerner EMR and PACS systems.

    Requirements & Qualifications

    • Experience: Previous clinical experience in a hospital setting. First-time travelers are accepted.
    • Licensure: Active New Hampshire Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy License (State License).
    • Certifications: * ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) – Required.
      • BLS (AHA) – Required.
      • RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) – Preferred.
    • Technical Skills: Experience with Samsung equipment and Cerner EMR is a plus.

    Unit & Facility Details

    • Shift Structure: This is a dedicated weekend shift (Friday–Sunday), which provides four days off during the week to explore the region.
    • Location: 80 Highland Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
    • Trauma Level: Regional acute care center.

    Financial & Policy Notes

    • Overtime: Weekly OT after 40 hours; Daily OT after 24 hours (based on differentials).
    • On-Call: There is no on-call requirement for this weekend position.
