    Reporting to the Director of Retail, the Retail Receiving Manager leads the inventory receiving team and manages the complete product delivery process for all retail locations. The Retail Receiving Manager develops, executes, and trains the team on efficient inventory procedures while driving a successful product flow. As a manager, this individual must be an outgoing, motivating leader with the ability to influence a team with integrity. This position requires strong communication with the retail buying team, service center team, and store leadership team to maintain a high level of accuracy in ordering and monitoring inventory levels.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    1. Manages a team to receive shipments, check for damages, sort, and tag inventory for distribution to the correct location. Develops systems and reports on record keeping for invoices.

    2. Leads the development of par levels to meet the needs of each location; Utilizes inventory reports to monitor the movement of merchandise in-store, storage, and service center to keep all inventory levels filled.

    3. Leads a team to conduct Physical Inventory twice a year per Retail location. Creates standard inventory and receiving procedures to best protect company assets while minimizing loss according to company standards and operating procedures, inventory control and loss prevention.

    4. Manages the safety and cleanliness of retail storage areas in alignment with enterprise health and safety standards. Completes audits and creates action plans based on areas of opportunities.

    5. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning reviewing, and directing work; evaluating and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Makes hiring decisions and designs individual development plans with succession planning in mind for all key roles.

    Education/Experience/Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Retail Management, Business Management, Hospitality Management, or related field required.
    • Minimum three (3) years of inventory, logistics, retail operations or closely related experience required.
    • Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience required.
    • Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of the minimum educational requirements indicated above.
    • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel necessary.
    • Experience using Databases, InfoGenesis, Yellow Dog, or any Inventory Management program preferred.
    • Food handling experience preferred.
    • Internal and external guest service; Ability to thrive in a guest-centric environment preferred.
    Certificates/Licenses/Registrations
    • At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
    • A qualified candidate must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record as determined by the company's insurance carrier.
