    Alameda Health System (AHS) is seeking Psychiatrists for Per Diem/Services, at the nationally recognized John George Psychiatric Hospital to provide psychiatric evaluation and diagnosis, prescribe medications, supervise and collaborate with other team members, and facilitate treatment plans. The department's mission is to provide the best comprehensive psychiatric and behavioral health services to adults and children suffering with mental illness in Alameda County and be the premier center for mental health care in the East Bay. The goal being to compassionately treat people suffering with mental illness as well as foster well-being and resilience.

    SAN Psychiatrists Salary (Effective July 10, 2022)

    • Hourly rate: $244.11
    • Evening pay differential (4pm – Midnight): 15% increase to hourly rate for hours worked during this period
    • Night pay differential (Midnight – 7am): 25% increase to hourly rate for hours worked during this period
    • SAN psychiatrists working the 11 PM through 7 AM overnight shift in psychiatric emergency services (PES) shall be paid a flat rate of $349.00/hour

    Qualifications

    • Education:
    • Graduate of an accredited school of medicine or osteopathic medicine with an MD or DO.
    • Minimum Experience:
    • Prior community mental health services experience.
    • Required Licenses/Certifications:
    • Valid CA License to practice Medicine and Certification in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

    1. Full time positions for Inpatient services.
    2. SAN positions for weekend/holiday coverage on inpatient and psychiatric emergency services (PES).
    3. SAN positions for night coverage in Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES).
