    Description

    RN - Progressive Care Unit (Intermediate)

    At Carle Health, we're committed to fostering a workplace where every team member feels valued, respected and empowered.

    • We have 18 beds on our unit.
    • We care for patients aged 18 or older with neurological disorders, strokes or other medical conditions requiring intermediate care.
    • Ourexperienced nurses provide one-on-one attention to each patient with a ratio of 1:4

    Frequent nursing skills used include medication administration, continuous telemetry monitoring, physical assessments and safe patient handling equipment. We also manage surgical sites, wounds and catheters.

    Responsibilities:
    Patient Assessment:The nurse performs an initial assessment upon admission and develops a plan of care based on the patient's needs. This includes implementing interventions and procedures specific to their condition.
    Nursing Interventions:The nurse takes responsibility for maintaining up-to-date documentation of care provided ensuring integration of information across the healthcare team.
    Care Coordination:The nurse communicates effectively with colleagues to resolve issues constructively offering feedback to assist in peer development while identifying learning needs initiating solutions
    We are dedicated clinically excellent staff always willing help each other maintain high standard care vital signs taken minimum hours purposeful hourly rounding when possible
