    Do you have a passion for automating everything you can to reduce manual effort and make people's lives easier? Are you a cybersecurity enthusiast who wants to enable software engineers to develop and deploy secure code? We are looking for an Application Security Engineer to join New Relic's Security Automation and Tools team to help us scale our security and compliance programs and provide a smooth Secure Development Experience.

    What you'll do
    • Automate internal security workflows, reports, and tasks to increase efficiency and reduce toil for your security and compliance peers.
    • Support, enhance, and maintain application security tooling to allow developers to rapidly identify and fix security vulnerabilities.
    • Collaborate with various security and product teams to understand their challenges and drive improvements through tooling and automation.
    • Contribute to best practices and support documentation.
    • Learn threat modeling, software development, detection engineering, and other skills to grow your career as an application security engineer and directly support software engineering teams
    This role requires
    • 2+ years professional experience in a computer technology field including cybersecurity, automation, software development, or systems administration.
    • Experience developing RESTful APIs in Python.
    • Experience using databases and object-oriented design in Python.
    • Experience with Docker, Jenkins, and AWS for continuous delivery of software.
    • Experience with change management tools, such as GitHub.
    • Proven ability to collaborate, work effectively as a member of a team, and seek help when needed

    Estimated Base Pay Range: $ 110,000 - $ 137,000
    The pay range above represents a reasonable estimate of the salary for the listed position. This role is eligible for a corporate bonus plan. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related factors such as an applicant's skills, qualifications, and experience.
