- Provide thought leadership, critical thinking, inquisitive approach, and a high degree of independent engineering knowledge to global, multi-functional product development teams.
- Support internal/external customers and global multi-functional colleagues by presenting technical data and project achievements & updates.
- Collaborate with sales, application engineering, marketing, and quality teams in customer communications, commitments, and issue resolution.
- Develop proficiency/mastery in existing calculators and engineering tools, along with the facilitation and creation of new design and analysis tools as needed.
- Conceive and implement development and testing plans with an approach towards risk mitigation, while coordinating with appropriate resources for timely execution.
- Apply and support the incorporation of Lean principles and techniques into the New Product Development process.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, another technology discipline or equivalent. No prior experience is required.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent presentation, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient in the use of various office computer programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
- Proficient in the use of various engineering computer programs such as NX/SolidWorks, ANSYS, and Minitab.
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments with multiple disciplines.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States, unrestricted for an unlimited period of time - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.
- Two () years of relevant work experience, including co-op terms, in development of electrically driven rotating equipment or similar fields.
- Proficient in the engineering principles in the areas of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, mechanics, materials, statics, dynamics, machine design, and/or tribology.
- Experience working with and/or implementing lean techniques into the product development process.
- Ability to communicate with technical, manufacturing, and business leaders at all levels.
- Knowledge of thermodynamics, vapor compression cycle & heat transfer knowledge/experience applied to Air Conditioning & Heat Pump systems.
