    Job Description - Medical Receptionist

    Classification: FSLA

    Non-Exempt - hourly

    Salary Grade/Level/Range

    Experience, longevity, within company pay structure.

    Front Desk Manager

    Summary/Objective
    This role is based in a medical office setting, involving tasks such as welcoming patients, providing assistance with check-in procedures, maintaining patient accounts, and ensuring overall satisfaction.

    Essential Functions

    • Welcomes patients and visitors to the medical office.
    • Providing directions or information to guide patients to the correct location for their visit/procedure.
    • Assisting patients with check-in processes.
    • Updating patient accounts with personal and financial information.
    • Scanning and organizing relevant documents into the EMR system.
    • Handling patient payments and inquiries efficiently.
    • Optimizing appointment check-ins to enhance patient satisfaction and provider productivity.
    • Acting as the liaison for patient intake software troubleshooting.
    • Adhering to office policies, contributing to training new staff, and participating in day-end procedures.
    • Managing front desk calls regarding insurance and check-in queries.
    • Building and maintaining relationships with staff from other offices and departments.
    • Performing additional tasks as assigned by superiors.

    Physical Demands
    This role involves bending, standing, sitting, and extended computer use.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
    This is a full-time role with varying schedules from Monday to Friday and occasional Saturdays.

    Travel

    Minimal travel required between offices, if necessary.

    Other Duties
    Please note this role may entail additional responsibilities beyond those specified in this description. Flexibility and adherence to company policies are essential.
