At Southern Health Partners, our medical team encounters a wide spectrum of patient scenarios, ranging from detoxification to rehabilitation, handling medical emergencies, chronic care management, mental health support, and educating patients on maintaining and enhancing their overall health post-release. Requirements for Qualified Mental Health Professionals:

• Collaborate closely with the SHP Medical Director and/or SHP Medical Team Administrator to organize mental health treatment both within and outside the facility.
• Deliver mental health training sessions for medical, psychiatric, and security staff as needed.
• Manage and de-escalate mental health crises within the facility.
• Participate in commitment hearings if necessary based on the SHP contract with the facility.
• Create customized treatment plans and objectives for individual inmates.
• Thoroughly document all patient interactions while maintaining medical record confidentiality.
• Verify past mental health histories of patients, including any prior use of psychotropic medications.
• Generate routine and ad-hoc reports as needed.
• Collaborate with nursing and mental health teams for post-release referrals.

Location: Troup County Jail

Position Available: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW, LISW), or Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN)

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday during daytime hours
