    Description
    Our Physical Therapist Assistant, under the direction and supervision of a physical therapist, will help patients who are recovering from injuries and illnesses regain movement and manage pain.

    Education:
    • Must have associate's degree from an accredited physical therapist assistant program.
    Experience:
    • Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience preferred.
    Licenses/Certifications:
    • Physical Therapist Assistant license .
    • obtain and maintain CPR certification.
    Responsibilities:
    • Observes patients before, during, and after therapy, noting the patient's status and reporting it to a physical therapist.
    • Helps patients do specific exercises as part of the plan of care.
    • Treats patients, using a variety of techniques, such as massage and stretching.
    • Uses devices and equipment, such as walkers, to help patients.
    • Educates patients and family members about what to do after treatment.
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance.
    • Must be able to apply principles of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations.
    • Must be able to apply sound judgment beyond a specific set of instructions and apply knowledge to different factual situations.
    • Must be alert at all times; pay close attention to details.
    • Must be able to work under stress on a regular or continuous basis.
    • Post orders, if applicable, per site contract.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
