    Role SummaryRole:
    Lead Mechanical Engineer
    • Fluid Systems Location: Sunnyvale, CA.
    We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic startup in disrupting mobility and living space.

    With a strong track record of developing and shipping products in the consumer or automotive industries, the ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of automotive design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.

    This individual will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, utilizing their expertise to design, develop, and refine products that exceed customer expectations.

    Fluid systems cover devices that transport all types of fluid in Pebble vehicles - coolants, refrigerants, hydraulics, fresh water, drainages, etcResponsibilities: Develop and execute innovative automotive design concepts, from initial concept to production, using a strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and manufacturing, to ensure that designs meet performance, safety, and quality standards while aligning with project timelines and budget constraints.

    Leverage computational analysis, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), to validate and optimize designs, ensuring they meet functional and performance requirements.

    Manage and maintain design documentation, including CAD models, drawings, specifications, and Bill of Materials (BOM), ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is available for the project team.

    Continuously research and stay informed on emerging trends, technologies, and materials in the automotive industry, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation within the company's product portfolio.

    Lead design reviews, providing constructive feedback and recommendations for improvement to ensure a high level of product quality and functionality.

    Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and customers, to address technical issues and ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.


    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.

    Hands-on experiences are a plus.5-10 years of experience in automotive or recreational vehicle spaces, with a proven track record of shipping successful products.

    Expertise in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and design analysis tools (e.g., FEA, CFD).Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and industry standards related to automotive design and development.

    Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and quality.

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and present technical information to various audiences.

    Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, startup environment.
    Self-starter, versatile, hands-on and mission drivenFamiliarity with automotive safety and regulatory requirements is a plus.
