- Undergraduate housing or student leadership experience
- Directly supervises, trains, and evaluates assigned Student Hall Directors and Resident Assistants. Provides indirect supervision to other staff in the area, including work studies in the office.
- Ensures that residence life staff members have the support and necessary training to facilitate and lead in-hall processes around campus-wide events such as move-in, breaks, hall closing, health and safety checks, etc.
- Implements area staff development and training opportunities.
- Collaborates with colleagues to ensure that student learning is emphasized and appropriate skills are developed to reach the learning goals of a residential curricular model.
- Leads and coordinates student staff in-services.
- Provides response and support to residents with elevated concerns about their residential experiences.
- Works diligently to build community within the residence halls.
- Assists the Director in ensuring all residential work orders are handled in a timely manner.
- Serve as an administrative hearing officer for individual student misconduct.
- Knows and understands the Student Code of Conduct, FERPA, Title IX, Clery Act, and University and Residence Life procedures and policies.
- Assures all high-level situations are handled appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Appropriately communicates all conduct situations to the Director of Student and Resident Services.
- Serve as a member of the On-Call team for all on-campus housing facilities; approximately 600 residents.
- Oversees programming budget for assigned residence halls.
- Assists the Director in other designated responsibilities or special projects as assigned.

Midland University, a private, faith-based, liberal arts university in Fremont, Nebraska (just outside of Metro Omaha), is seeking a dynamic and proven leader to serve as the Assistant Director of Housing Systems. This is a full-time appointment with a start date to be determined.
This is a 12-month, live-in, hourly position from 8 AM to 4:30 PM that requires approximately 40 hours per work week with additional evening and weekend hours possible. Additional benefits include an apartment with paid utilities and a meal plan when dining services are in operation.

The Assistant Director of Housing System assists the Director for Student and Resident Services by overseeing housing systems, keeping accurate housing occupancy reports, assigning proxy access to residents and faculty/staff, participates in policy and procedure review, provides excellent customer service and student assistance to visitors of the Student Affairs office and overall program development.
The Assistant Director will supervise and oversee approximately 2 student hall directors and 13 resident assistants in residential areas housing approximately 300 students. The Assistant Director plays a crucial role in developing inclusive and supportive residential communities and responding to the needs of supervisees and residents.
The Assistant Director is part of the Residence Life team and shares responsibility for leading critical processes for the on-campus housing experience. Focus areas that the Assistant Director will participate in are student conduct, student retention, staff recruitment, hiring, and leadership development.
