As the Category Sourcing Manager for Ingredients, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless procurement of raw packaging materials and raw ingredients essential for our manufacturing process.This role requires a deep understanding of ingredient sourcing, supplier relationship management, market trends, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Quality Assurance, Productions, and other stakeholders to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain.

How will you contribute:

Strategic Sourcing:

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for raw materials and ingredients.
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, reliability, cost, and other relevant factors.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure favorable agreements while maintaining quality standards and cost efficiency.

Supplier Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and consistent supply of ingredients.
• Monitor supplier performance, conduct supplier audits, and address any issues or concerns to maintain quality and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with suppliers to drive innovation and product development initiatives.

Cost Management:

• Analyze pricing trends, market dynamics, and supplier costs to optimize sourcing decisions and achieve cost savings.
• Develop and implement cost reduction strategies while maintaining quality standards and product integrity.
• Track and report on key performance metrics related to sourcing activities, including cost savings, supplier performance, and quality metrics.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for ingredient sourcing and procurement.
• Work closely with internal quality assurance teams to ensure that suppliers meet quality and safety standards.
• Implement quality control measures and processes to mitigate risks related to ingredient sourcing.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and supply chain, to support product development initiatives and manufacturing operations.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to understand ingredient requirements and ensure alignment with sourcing strategies.
• Follow established department SOPs, cGMP regulation, and batch record instructions.
• Maintain a safe work environment and operate in a safe manner.
• Perform other job duties related to the job, as assigned by management.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Masters degree or professional certification (E.g., CSCP, CPSM) preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a conus on raw ingredients of nutritional supplement or food related industry progressive experience in sales leadership and customer operations and have considerable material knowledge and supplier resources.
• Proven track record of development and implementing successful sourcing strategies, negotiating contracts, and achieving cost savings targets while maintaining high-quality standards and supplier relationships.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze market data supplier performance metrics, and financial reports to drive data-driven decision making and strategic insights.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal key stakeholders and external suppliers across diverse cultures and geographies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with procurement software of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) preferred.
• Demonstrate commitment to integrity, ethics, and compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

This position is currently classified as on-site.

Base Salary Range: $101,000 $124,000, based on candidate professional experience level. Employees are eligible to participate in Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k), Holidays, Vacation, Tuition Reimbursement Program.

The final salary offered for this position may take into account a number of factors including, but not limited to, location, skills, education, and experience.
