As part of our commitment to accessibility, we are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for the 2024 summer.

    Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ASD Special Education Teacher to join our team for our upcoming summer school program. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with students on the autism spectrum and a commitment to providing high-quality, individualized education and support.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement effective educational plans and strategies tailored to meet the unique needs of students with ASD.
    • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic and social-emotional growth.
    • Collaborate with other teachers, therapists, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with ASD.
    • Utilize evidence-based practices and instructional techniques to address the diverse learning styles and abilities of students with ASD.
    • Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust teaching strategies as needed to ensure student success.
    • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress and collaborate on strategies for support.
    • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in ASD education and special education best practices.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
    • Valid Minnesota teaching certification in Special Education (or willingness to obtain certification).
    • Experience working with students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in an educational setting.
    • Knowledge of evidence-based practices and instructional strategies for teaching students with ASD.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
    • Patience, empathy, and a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of students with special needs
