**Job Description**
**Job Purpose:**
Lead, direct and provide oversight for the agency sponsored USDA CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program) Afterschool and SFSP (Summer Food Service Program) program statewide.
**Job Duties and Responsibilities:**
Lead the Agencys Afterschool & Summer Food Service Sponsorship for school-aged children.
Develop and implement annual strategic plans for the Afterschool & Summer Program sponsorship, including expansion/growth opportunities, planning and budgeting program needs, goals, implementing priority strategies, and supporting and engaging team members.
Complete and maintain accuracy of the afterschool portion of the annual CACFP sponsor application and the annual summer application through the Ohio Department of Education.
Manage the submission of all afterschool & summer site applications to the Ohio Department of Education annually and maintain updates to applications throughout the year.
Oversee SFSP mobile feeding operations statewide including needs assessment, outreach, scheduling, staffing, and operations.
Develop and oversee the monitoring schedule for afterschool & summer sites statewide and ensure staff completion of visits in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Train agency staff in required CACFP & SFSP annual topics, oversee development and updates of site training content, and assist with training implementation.
Set performance goals, metrics and conduct staff performance evaluation.
Work closely with the Data, Quality and Compliance team to ensure seamless communication and operation of the Afterschool & Summer Nutrition sponsorship for vendor relationships, food ordering, and claiming.
Oversee Afterschool & Summer fiscal operations including tracking expenditures against budgets, managing staff allocations, ensuring compliance with grant requirements, reconciling grant and financial reports, etc.
Ensure operational and financial program compliance and efficiencies including developing and implementing internal auditing practices, contributing to efficiency studies and improvements, etc.
Provide leadership for the Afterschool & summer sponsorship portion of the Ohio Department of Education Management Evaluations (audits).
Represent the Agency in the community with Afterschool, Summer and/or other food access programs and initiatives.
Develop relationships with community and other organizations to bring awareness and expansion opportunities for Agency Afterschool & Summer sponsorship throughout Ohio.
Assist with Afterschool & Summer related grants including new grant proposals, grant reporting, grant budgets, etc.
Manage, lead and oversee staff, including recruiting, performance management, coaching & development, delegation, etc. Facilitate and support team communication; administer agency policies and procedures
Lead and/or oversee special event planning for Afterschool and/or Summer.
Other duties as assigned.
**Job Qualifications:**
Bachelors degree in Education, Nutrition, Human Ecology, Communication Sciences, Youth Development, or equivalent; Master preferred
At least three years management experience
Knowledge and experience with USDA CACFP, SFSP, or other Child Nutrition Programs.
Knowledge and experience with programming; food access programs
Knowledge and Experience with program evaluation
Organizational skills and time management skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities; adjust to changing needs
Communication skills: oral, written and presentation skills
Ability to work with diverse individuals and groups
Interpersonal skills, especially relationship building, influencing skills, customer focus, and leading/motivational skills
Positive, resilient and unflappable
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and knowledge of database
Ability to work with remote team
Creative problem-solving skills
