    Overview:


    As a Senior Cloud Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and optimizing our cloud infrastructure, particularly focusing on Azure, to support the data science team's initiatives and ensure seamless integration with various tools and services.

    This role requires a strategic thinker who can look at the broader picture of cloud technology while also possessing the technical expertise to work hands-on with data lakes, analytics platforms, and other cloud-based solutions.


    Responsibilities:
    Cloud Infrastructure Strategy : Develop and execute a comprehensive cloud infrastructure strategy aligned with the company's objectives. Provide leadership in adopting best practices, optimizing costs, and ensuring scalability and reliability.

    Collaboration with Data Science Team :
    Work closely with the data science team to understand their requirements, provide guidance on cloud architecture best practices, and ensure that cloud resources are effectively utilized to support their initiatives

    Integration with Data Lakes :
    Design and implement solutions for seamless integration with data lakes, ensuring efficient data ingestion, storage, and processing capabilities

    Engagement with Internal Stakeholders :

    Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including data scientists, developers, and business analysts, to gather requirements, address concerns, and provide technical expertise related to cloud architecture.


    State of the Union Reporting :
    Regularly provide updates and insights on the current state of the cloud infrastructure, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and recommendations for improvement

    Documentation and Knowledge Sharing :
    Document the cloud environment, including architecture diagrams, configuration details, and best practices. Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions to educate team members on cloud-related concepts and technologies.


    Tooling and Technology Expertise :

    Stay updated on the latest cloud technologies and tools, particularly those used by the data science team, such as Copilot, Power BI, and other Microsoft tools.

    Provide recommendations on tool selection, configuration, and optimization.


    Data Synchronization and Ingestion :
    Oversee the synchronization and ingestion of data from various sources, including the accounting center managed by the accounting team (CMIC) and Oracle-based systems, into the Azure environment

    Azure Footprint Expansion :
    Identify opportunities for expanding the company's Azure footprint to support growing business requirements. Evaluate new Azure services and features and propose their adoption where applicable.


    Hybrid Cloud Management :
    Manage the hybrid cloud environment, balancing on-premises and cloud resources effectively. Facilitate seamless integration between on-premises systems and Azure services.


    Requirements:
    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
    Proven experience as a cloud architect, with a focus on Azure cloud services.
    Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, including infrastructure as code, microservices architecture, and containerization.
    Experience working with data lakes, analytics platforms, and related technologies.
    Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    Proficiency in documenting technical architectures and solutions.

    Hands-on experience with tools and technologies commonly used in the data science domain, such as Copilot, Power BI, and Oracle databases.

    Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments and best practices for managing them effectively.
    Azure certification(s) preferred.
